Summer CEO

Program Overview: Summer CEO is STEMCAT’s 8-week junior leadership boot camp, built for Skilled Minds who want to spend their summer building real leadership, communication, and entrepreneurial skills instead of losing momentum between school years. Fellows work in small teams, take on a real project from idea to pitch, and graduate with the confidence and habits of a young leader — whether or not they ever start a business.

8-WEEK BOOT CAMP

Campers build the mindset and habits of a leader before building anything else.

  • What leadership actually looks like day to day
  • Goal-setting and personal accountability
  • Team norms and forming your CEO cohort

Campers practice the communication skills every leader needs, through real team exercises.

  • Public speaking and confident presenting
  • Active listening and giving feedback
  • Resolving conflict within a team
  • Running an effective meeting

Campers form teams and develop a real idea from scratch, with mentor support.

  • Identifying a problem worth solving
  • Basics of business planning and budgeting
  • Prototyping and testing an idea
  • Mentor check-ins and feedback rounds

Campers turn their idea into a polished pitch and rehearse presenting under pressure.

  • Building a pitch deck
  • Storytelling and persuasion basics
  • Practice pitches with mentor feedback
  • Handling questions on the spot

Camp culminates in a live Pitch Day, where every team presents its idea to a panel of STEMCAT mentors and community leaders.

  • Final team pitches to a live panel
  • Judged feedback and recognition
  • Certificate of completion and CEO graduation
