Untapped Entrepreneurship Project - Youth

Course Overview: Untapped is an intensive entrepreneurship boot camp designed to develop business literacy, resilience, and innovation among young adults and adult learners who have the skills but lack traditional academic pathways. The program equips participants to ideate, develop, pitch, and potentially fund their first entrepreneurial venture.

Target Audience: Youth (ages 14–18) in underserved or marginalized communities.

Program Uniqueness: Physically and mentally rigorous training: A unique feature includes alternating weeks with extreme schedules, mimicking entrepreneurial pressures.

Panther Tank Competition: A community-driven version of Shark Tank. Participants deliver a 120-second business pitch to a live audience who vote for the top contenders to advance to “The Den,” where selected finalists compete for micro-grants.

Youth Program Reward: Finalists in the youth Panther Tank receive scholarships for professional business services such as marketing consulting, logo/branding materials, entrepreneurship internships, and startup supplies.

CURRICULUM

Untapped Youth Program Summary: This 4-week summer entrepreneurship boot camp empowers high school students to transform business ideas into viable ventures. With hands-on mentorship, team-based learning, and exposure to real-world entrepreneurs, students walk away with the confidence and tools to pursue entrepreneurial pathways. The program culminates in a Panther Tank pitch competition where youth may earn business service scholarships and startup support.

  • Provide exposure to professional business services and internship pathways

Week 1: Entrepreneurial Mindset & Problem-Solving — Entrepreneurial Mindset & Problem-Solving — Explore the mindset and traits of successful entrepreneurs and apply critical thinking to local challenges.

Week 2: Business Model Canvas & Branding — Learn to map business ideas using the Lean Canvas and begin designing brand identity.

Week 3: Market Research & Financial Literacy — Understand customers, pricing, budgeting, and tools for financial success.

Week 4: Pitch Practice, Panel Prep & Panther Tank Showdown — Refine presentation skills, finalize business concept, and pitch for scholarship and support.
